    Can anyone help! Unallocated space trouble.


    I have 500gb free space which is unallocated. When I go to disk partition and try to allocate it, it doesn’t give me the option to allocate to same letter path.

    For example my m.2 which is named “C drive” has 500gb unallocated free space. Yet when trying to allocate it, it doesn’t give me the option to allocate to path letter “C”. It lets me choose every other letter tho.

    Hi Travis,

    It appears that a disk partition was created but was never assigned its allocation. Assuming there are no files stored in the unallocated partition, perform these steps to combine it with your C: drive:

    • In Disk Management, right-click on (CCan anyone help! Unallocated space trouble. :) which appears next to the
      Unallocated partition.
    • Select Extend.

    Let us know if you're able to combine the spaces after following the steps above.
