Windows 10: Can anyone please help me get into my Lenovo Yoga 460 ThinkPad again?

I've had nothing but problems with my ThinkPad. I don't know what happened but when you turn it on a black screen comes up and makes you write a supervisor password I think it calls it. After spending a couple of months trying to figure it out I finally figured out the password and I was so pumped I'd be able to start using the computer again but it didn't work out like that. After I type in the supervisor password on the black screen it takes you to the login screen where it says my Microsoft email address and says login under that. In the bottom right corner is gives you the wifi settings, a

After installing Windows update KB4549951, my fingerprint scanner on Lenovo Thinkpad Yoga 460 stopped working

On 4/16/20, my Lenovo Thinkpad Yoga 460 automatically loaded the latest Windows update (KB4549951). After installing this, the fingerprint reader did not work.

I researched in Settings/Sign-in Options and found that the fingerprint reader was not even recognized by the new OS.

I uninstalled KB4549951 and then the fingerprint reader is working (Windows Hello Fingerprint).

I am afraid to install any more Windows updates until this issue is resolved. How to know if the issue is resolved?
