Windows 10: Can anyone tell me how to get back The Windows 11 Missing Customize Folder Option?

I tried all the solutions in the Nov 2004 post *Winhelponline Blog* and the March 31, 2022 Post by Gene Huganda "Windows 11 Missing Customize FOlder OPtion and all the threads of that post up until April 26 2022 when the thread was locked.Nothing worked. But it might be because my Windows 11 is Version 23H2. Microsoft probably read the posts, ran it up the management flagpole and management, in their infinite wisdom said damn someone figured it out we need to stop this meddling. So they patched this obvious threat to system security.But seriously has anyone tried this fix on 23H2 or come up wi

Windows 11 Missing Customize FOlder OPtion

Hi Gene, welcome to the Microsoft community, my name is Bruno Leonel, I am happy to help you.

I understand that you are trying to change the folder icon in Windows 11 and I will try to help you.

Right click on the desired folder and click on properties.

On the next screen, click on the Custom tab and there you will have the option to Change the Icon.

To create or add a new folder right click on an empty place and select "show more options" and then "new" > "Folder".

I ran the tests and it worked here, I'm also using Windows 11.

Windows 7 Folder Options

In Windows XP, I used to setup one folder the way I liked and go into the Folder Options to make all the rest that style as well. I can't seem to figure out how to do this in Windows 7. I see Folder Options in the control panel, and it has the same feature as XP to apply to all Windows, but since I'm accessing that through the control panel it doesn't work. I imagine I need to access the folder options through the folder that I want to use as a template for the rest. Does anyone know how I can do this in Windows 7?

Windows 11 Missing Customize FOlder OPtion

The Customize option in the Properties box used to be available. Now that option is not listed.

Just General/Sharing/Security/Previous Versions. See screenshot below.
