Microsoft and Windows will only download files for the updates needed for your computer to function properly. For us to effectively assist you on this, kindly provide us the information we need below:

• Tell us where have you seen the said 400 MBs files.
• Since the files are showing with the file size, kindly tell us what do you see in those files (filename, file type etc.)
• Kindly attach a screenshot of those files in question.
• Do those files show in your Update History?

has occurred to me.

He has told me that those files are the size of the updates that Microsoft installed last.

Which is all very well but why do they list this separate? Telling me the download size before downloading is of help but keeping the information posted on there long after download and installation is confusing. Once it is part of my used storage space
I don't need to have a separate list.

I do not also need it here as it only creates confusion as to whether files installed have been or not.

Could a Moderator suggest to Microsoft that this be discontinued?

Well that's why I asked. Mine is on SSD and takes 11 seconds. Your list of games will not appear if it has not checkd for updated suggested settings for awhile until it checks.

When it says it is refreshing the game list, it is checking, because NVIDIA periodically updates suggested settings. Plus it will look for those for new games you have installed.

So, the less it is run, the slower it will be.
