Windows 10: Can apps and office update through windows update?

Hi,

I am having trouble accessing MS app store and also updating office 2016 through any of the office applications.

My question is, will win 10 apps and office 2016 default update through windows update?

Update from single point

I searched but couldn't find a discussion similar to this. If it is duplicate please feel free to delete this.

Why don't Windows make a single point to update "anything" on the system.

We update store apps through Store application.

We update Office through Office app.

We update Windows and drivers through windows update.

We update Flash, Adobe reader, Java etc. all separately.

I think Microsoft should make a single point to see and select all the available updates for anything in the system.

Make Adobe, Oracle, etc any 3rd parties register their updates to this system.

When I open Update application, I must be able to see updates from MS, and 3rd parties all in one place. For now this does not happen even for Microsoft products. I update windows, then go to Office, check for updates, and it still finds updates for itself.

 

OneDrive for Business and Personal OneDrive Sync

Hi Thanks for the reply.

I suspect that the last point is the issue. The mobile will be associated with a personal windows account. I had hoped that I would be able to just add the business one or change where the App points (in much the same way I can link to the Office 365 email).

The ideal end state was to have my Office 365 OneDrive accessed through my Office App on the phone and the personal one through the OneDrive app.

However looks like a reset will be the only option?

 

Apps are updated through the Store. Microsoft Office is updated through Windows Update.

 

Office "Click To Run" is updated through Office itself, other versions of Office are updated through Windows update. If you have no option in Office to update then Windows update should be taking care of it.
