Windows 10: Can faulty RAM cause a black screen or freeze the computer?

This laptop has been plagued with BSODs, Black screens, freezing or restarting for no apparent reason for the last 18 months and getting worse the longer i goes.DaveM121 helped me with identifying a faulty driver which dropped the BSODs dramatically but they still continued. Thanks again Dave, it made it more bearable.It didn't matter which version of Windows that I ran, I tried different versions of Windows 10 and 11.I tried different drivers for the graphics cards but the crashes continued to varying degrees.I decided to remove one of the 16GB memory modules and ran the laptop, but I got ano

Black Screen after Log on


Computer boots to windows log on,have no password here.After a minute on log on it go to a black screen,stays there forever. I can get to Task Manager from black Screen,lost on what to do next. Just want my Windows 10 back, not sure what caused this problem. Any Suggestion on what my next step should be?*Sad
