Windows 10: Can FINALLY pick 5GHz band to HotSpot

Going to try keeping this brief since I intented to reply the fix on a thread that turned out to be locked. As the title implies I've had an extended period of time 1 yr probably longer where I for some unbeknownst to me apparent reason just couldn't switch my Intel AX201 160MHZ wifi HOTSPOT to anything other than the 2.5MHZ band DESPITE the fact that I used to have access to both bands 2.5mhz & 5mhz. It used to drive me nuts to not even be able to pinpoint the cause and what ever "fix" suggested never even made the slightest of mention about what I finally figured out. In fact, I had

is the support provided by intel. They've asked me to set the channel to 32. but I don't see a way to do it.

I don't know if it worked before because i just recently tried to switch to 5Ghz. The network adapter is "Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 3165". It should support 5Ghz, wouldn't be dual band otherwise.

I am quoting a post from a similar thread on the Intel support forum:

"1. Click on "Edit" in Network properties and select 2.4 GHz band and then enable the Mobile hotspot.

2. Next, click again on "Edit" in Network properties and select 5 GHz band and then try to enable the Mobile hotspot. It worked for me."

That would be on the same page as the screenshot...should be an option near the bottom. This is the thread in question:

Different Wi-Fi adapter but still Intel which means settings etc which be similar
