  1. Can I abort this CHKDSK without ripping a hole in the time-space continuum?

I am using a new USB drive that has been working flawlessly all week for my daily Windows Files Backup. I got an error that it could not proceed so I am running CHKDSK and it is going on and on and on....... I want to just try another USB but am scerd to stop it in the middle of it running. Can I stop it without losing a limb?

    :)

    RIP CDs

    Hi,

We suggest that you perform these steps and check if the issue persists:

    • Press "Windows" + "E" button on the keyboard.
    • Go to "View > Navigation pane" and select "Show libraries".
    • Now in the navigation pane, right-click on the "Music" library under "Libraries" and select "Delete".
    • Now right-click on the "Libraries" and select "Restore default libraries".
    • Now try to rip.

We also suggest that you refer to this link. Burn and rip CDs.

    Regards.

    Continuum not working

I just received the display dock, and attempted to connect my 950XL to a display monitor, keyboard and mouse, with no success. I went thru the steps in order, connecting the HDMI cable to the dock, connecting the keyboard and mouse to the dock (this step
wasn't explicitly listed in the instructions that came with the dock, but changing the order made no difference), powering the dock, powering the monitor (it auto detects input ports), opening the Continuum app on the phone (this step wasn't explicitly listed
in the instructions that came with the dock, but not opening the app made no difference with the phone cycling thru screens and crashing), and connecting the phone to the port on the front of the dock. At which time, the screen on the app would change from
"How will you connect" (wired dock chosen), to the "Do you see a welcome screen", and phone would jump between those 2 screens every second or so for 5-6 times, then the screen would freeze, and the phone would reboot. At no time did the monitor ever show
that an input was detected, much less display anything (the monitor worked perfectly with my laptop, both before and after testing the Continuum dock. I also tried without the keyboard and mouse, just in case they had some compatibility issues. I'm going
to try again at home this evening, with a different monitor, keyboard and mouse. Any ideas what might be happening?

    • Lumia 950 XL (US unlocked dual SIM, 10586.29 OS, 01078.00027 firmware)
    • LG 24EC53V (1,920x1,080 IPS-LED)
    • Dell keyboard & mouse
UPDATE: I tried Continuum on my HD TV at home last night, and it worked like a charm. I am guessing that the problem was with the office monitor having some issue with its auto-input selection / device incompatible with Continuum.

Can I abort this CHKDSK without ripping a hole in the time-space continuum?

    Black Holes

Three merging galaxies 1.8 billion ly away form a black hole 3 billion times the mass of the Sun
    • Monster black hole is 750 times bigger than the black hole at the center of the Milky Way
    • Cosmic gas in merging galaxy is moving at ~ 600 km/s [~500 times the speed of a rifle cartridge]
Black holes grow by drawing in material including other black holes that venture too close, and in this case the black holes from the three galaxies have merged.

Dr Lisa Harvey-Smith from CSIRO Astronomy and Space Science and her team knew of a strong source of radiowaves, known as an astrophysical maser, in the group and pointed the array of antennas toward it. Knowing the speed of the gas they were able to directly measure the mass of the black hole that was causing the gas to swirl.
