Windows 10: Can I apply 2400/2666 Mhz ram in 2133 laptop...?

My laptop model is Dell inspiron 5567 i5 7200U processor....My laptop supports upto 16gb ram in 2 slots, with speed upto 2133 Mhz only....My laptop is very slow and lag always....So,I wish to add 4gb more ram in my 2nd slot...Now ,in store, 2133Mhz 4gb ram is not available....Can I use 2666/2400 Mhz ram to my 2nd slot of my laptop...?1. Is it compatible or incompatible....?2. If applied, will it boost the performance of my laptop... or it may cause issues to my laptop...?My laptop has 1tb hdd and ddr4 2133mhz 4gb ram already....Any suggestions regarding increasing my laptop's performance is

How can I boost my DDR4 2133 MHz RAM to 2400 MHz?

Hi,

I've total 8GB of RAM (memory) installed on my PC/Windows 10. Default bus speed of both RAM sticks are 2133 MHz, but I want to boost the speed to maximum level which is 2400 MHz for better performance.

So, I want to know if there is any possible and safe way to boost the speed. Please let me know. I've attached the RAM details below for you to understand better.

Mike, On my Gigabyte Z170, on the memory specifications it says that everything above 2400 MHz is considered OC
