Windows 10: Can i arrange my quick access files in alphabetical order?

Rather than manually moving the folders around I am looking for a setting to put my quick access folders in alphabetical order on my computer as i did the folders in my email.....

  on the top and expand the View ribbon by double clicking on it. Click Sort by, and then select Name, then click Ascending.

How to arrange files in an alphabetical order

This did not work!

 

Quick Access Sorting Issue. Now Alphabetical Groups

Quick access has stopped listing my files by group AND sorting. Prior to a couple of days ago (perhaps there was an update?), my quick access was SEPARATED by files FOLDERS (icons) on top and in a sort of separate window below were (listed) my individual
files in recent order.

Now, in quick access my files are in alphabetical groups (ex: a-h, i-p-, and q-z) that INCLUDE BOTH file folders AND individual documents. This new arrangement is burdensome when wanting to quickly access the last three documents I was working across.

What needs to happen for quick access to stop sorting in this latest manner and return its previous arrangement?
