Windows 10: Can I buy OEM licenses from Amazon to Install on a Computer I intend to Sell?

I am intending to build custom spec computers for clients and sell them.I also plan to do everything by the book and want to ensure I have understood the use of OEM licences correctlyMy understanding is an OEM licence can be used if the intention is to sell the computer and not for personal use.I also read there are authorised sellers for the licences and Amazon is one of them although i could not see it in the list of UK resellers when i checked the website: Would I be correct in saying I could purchase Microsfot Windows & Microsoft Office OEM licences from Amazon for use on a new comput

Are there windows OEM licenses that are intended by specif regions

Hi Daniel,

OEM licenses are sold to PC manufacturers or Windows installers who sells the assembled PC.

The end user cannot buy OEM separately from computer from its own needs - there is system builder license agreement on the back of the pack and its obliges builder to sell a PC after Windows installation.

If one buy OEM separately from computer it is either in pack (see picture) or sold illegally.

There is no sense to buy OEM packs in another country so your question is senseless too, unfortunately..

Oem and retail license

You may look at envelope and its content. Boxes have USB inside. OEM - DVD.

If you are suggested to buy OEM with electronic delivery, this highly likely is spoofing.

There are to classes OEM - DOEM (Direct OEM) and ordinary OEM.

The first is a large bunch of licenses Microsoft sells to large computer producers - HP, ASUS and so on. Such licenses will no distributed separately, only with computers.

An ordinary OEM is a cardboard package with installer's license sticked on it. Can you imagine a way to download it? I can't.

I think you'll find that the Amazon DVD is also the OEM version and says that: "Note: Windows 10 OEM is intended for pre-installation on a new PC and cannot be transferred to another computer once installed".

And that is where the full Retail key from Microsoft differs (and why it costs more). The EULA says that the Full Retail version may be transferred to another machine, whereas an OEM key is tied to the first machine you install it on.
