Windows 10: Can I change my Network ID from Business to Personal or Home in Windows 10 Pro?

Purchased a new computer with a upgrade of Windows 10 pro. I found that the Network ID Says: This computer is part of a business network, I use it to connect to other computers at work It should say: This is a home computer, It is not part of a Business Network

Unable to change Network ID from business to home in Windows 10 pro.

I am unable to change Network ID from business to home in Windows 10 pro. When I go to START, settings, System, About, Advanced System Settings, Computer Name Tab and the click the Network ID button. I get the option to Change from Business to Home ... BUT. Once you reboot, the change does not happen?

I believe this is blocking my Windows Automatic Update settings from working. Windows updates displays the message "Some setting are managed by your organization" I believe the Business setting is causing this? How do I get this changed? I need to get my updates to automatically load and install

 

Windows 10 Pro Will Not Change From Business to Home

Windows 10 Pro Installed With Avast Premium on a desktop. It was a clean install upgrade from Windows 7.

I have encountered networking issues which blocks from changing the netork type from public to private. It was resolved in earlier versions by changing the type of computer from business to home use. I have tried this in Windows 10 by going to network
ID making the change and restarting. However, every attempt has failed as it always reverts back to business and refuses to change.

I have disabled Avast a,d switched off firewalls temporarily but it still has no effect. There is something I am missing but despite searching I haven' found the solution.

Any suggestions?

Network ID - I can change from Business Network to Home Computer

When I make the change under Network ID my computer says reboot to make the change then it starts up as a Business Network computer every time. Its a new Windows 10 install and it's never been on a Business network. It seems to be stopping Outlook from
indexing and other data access issues etc.

Please help...
