Windows 10: Can I change my user name as used by WIN10

A while back I bought a Surface pro and set it up to start, using my Hotmail.com account. Foolishly, with hindsight, I called myself iande (instead of ian) when setting up. For security the surface pro looks at me (my eyes?), recognises me as the administrator and welcomes me as iande. My desktop for years used WIN7 and I logged on not using my Hotmail account. Now I have assembled a new computer with a clean install of WIN 10 Home, version 20H2. Obviously Microsoft had an influence and I spotted that in the folder structure the desktop computer knows me as iande. I keep drive C for the operating system alone so had to go through the Windows procedure for moving the location of data. I had kept the data hard drive and two other drives from my earlier desktop. Initially all went well but I want to change the administrator, me, from iande to ian. Can I add a user ian with administrator privileges and then after moving folders from iande to ian delete iande? Both computers work ok but the folders are somewhat scrambled in their structure and I would like to sort them out. I have got ian and iande all over the place. I am no expert but can carry out tasks from the command prompt and make alterations to the registry if you tell me what to do. .

Change local user account name in Windows 10

Hello!

I've just reinstalled Win10 and created a second account for my wife. Unfortunately, the login names is the mail she's registered to Microsoft.

How can I change the name.

I've read an answer to same question suggesting following:

I don't have that option in Win10.
