Windows 10: Can I change the names displayed in Windows login screen when using Exchange accounts?

Hi, The problem I am experiencing is the following:On my PC I have two Microsoft accounts logged in. One for my personal email, and one for my work email. Both are exchange accounts. In the login screen my name appears for both accounts, which means there is no way for me to know which account is which.I know I could change the name associated with my accounts, but this isn't suitable as my name needs to be my name.I tried setting the name in netplwiz, which works for the first login. But afterwards it replaces the name with my real one.Eg. I set the name to "Work"When I logged off it displa

goto CONTROL PANEL/ USER ACCOUNTS then you have to remove all the other accounts except for the one you logon with....then restart...it should bypass the login tho it will still show the screen for it...it will continue to load windows...good luck*Rockout :rockout:



edit:: it asks for a login when there are more then one accounts..or if you set a pw to your login name...

 

Change Windows Login Name

Apply Step 5 to change the name on your Local account which is appearing on login screen to the name on you MS account profile that you do want to appear.

However, the Skype name is separate from the MS account name if you are using the traditional desktop program. You can change the Skype name to match by opening Skype/Skype tab/My account which takes you to Skype account page. Click your picture/Skype alias/Edit profile on next page/Change name here/Save at page bottom. Good Luck

 

Login Screen showing wrong user account for display names (Domain)

Hi,

When I log onto a windows 10 computer, log out, remote onto the computer with a different account and then log out, the login screen wont update the display name but it will update the user name.

I noticed this started with 1703 and have the same issue with 1709.

Any idea on how to get the Display name to update or to completely hide the remote users details and just show the original users login details?

This is an example of the login screen after doing the above process. Also seems to happen to some users that share a computer.
