Windows 10: Can i connect a PS/2 mouse to Windows 11?

Hey, I just found a old Logitech S96 PS/2 mouse and i'm trying to connect it to my Windows 11 PC.My motherboard has a PS/2 port on the back, and when i connect it, the mouse doesn't show up. My motherboard model is Z370 KRAIT GAMING. I opened Device manager and the mouse showed as "Microsoft PS/2 Mouse" and had a exclamation mark. I tried downloading drivers too but none of them worked. I tried this mouse on a older Windows 98 PC and it worked fine.

It should be plug and play. If you currently have a USB mouse connected, disconnect it from the USB port, then connect the PS/2 mouse to the PS/2 port.

Restart if its not detected.

 

How to connect PS/2 Keyboard and mouse in Windows 10?!

So, my keyboard and mouse are having PS/2 ports. When I insert it the sensor light at back of the mouse turn on but it doesn't move the cursor or say it doesn't work but the power supply is okay, and with the keyboard it's the same it also when inserted
gets power supply and Num Lock, Caps Lock Led(s) blink for 2 sec and then pause and blink again for 2 seconds but it also doesn't work and it is also just plugged so I want to know the steps to update the driver or any other method I can use to get my PS/2
keyboard and mouse working in my computer, I also have spare USB keyboard and mouse. Please help!!!

Also I checked they are not even listed in the device manager.

I have an old ps/2 mouse and I was trying to get it to hook up to my windows 11 PC. It already comes with a ps/2 port on it, tried plugging the mouse in to see if it would work, and it didn't, then tried using an adapter, which also didn't work. Then tried HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ CurrentControlSet \ Services \i8042prt \ start, which also didn't work. I'm now out of options and don't know what to do next, suggestions would be helpful.
