Windows 10: Can I control where new icons go on desktop/

    Can I control where new icons go on desktop/


    At the moment, whenever I send a file or anything else to my desktop, the icon goes near the lower left corner of my right-hand monitor. Is there a way to change this default location?

    Desktop icons won’t go where I put them

    Ever since i installed an update months ago, when i go to drag and drop icons to the left side of the screen the icon will move to somewhere random on the desktop, and it will also sometimes move other icons that im not trying to move to random places. I
    have tried turning auto arrange on and off, and have also turned the align to grid option on and off, and nothing fixes it. I have an asus laptop.

    How can I keep Icons on the desktop where I place them in Win 10.

    I wouldn't go that far back. Windows 7 would be a better option if you must.
