Windows 10: Can I copy or transfer text in "Comments" field of each .jpg image to the "Tags" field For...

I have thousands of .jpg images that have "various" long descriptions in each image that have been typed into the "Comments" property field using the MS Windows Explorer. Being able to do searches and sorting of that Comments field/column is naturally done in Windows Explorer.


However, any text in the "Comments" field does not cross over into any non-Microsoft platform photo viewer or its own file explorer ie, Mac, etc., whereas data in the other fields Tags, Author, Date Taken, etc. does. From what I've gleaned from the internet, I believe the Comments/XPComment field is a Microsoft-independent field for image metadata that isn't supported by other viewers.


Since the "Tags" field sometimes showing as a "Keywords" field DOES cross over into other non-Microsoft platform file and image viewers, how can I in Windows Explorer transfer/or copy & paste the data from theComments field into the Tags field for multiple files. Doing a CTRL-C and CTRL-V for each file would take forever.


Note: ExifTool has not provided a remedy for this.

MP3 tag comment doesn't show in 'File Explorer'

After I changed to Windows 10 I can't see the text entered in the mp3 tag called 'comment' when I look at my music files in 'file explorer'. If the comment tag was filled before, I can see it, but if I change it, all text disappears, and I can't write
new text. When rightclicking the file and choosing properties it looks like I can write in the field, but whenever I select ok, the field 'comment' remains empty.

I do not know how to "immediately" switch between the recipient field and the text field, especially when the pointer is in the middle of long list of recipients or long text field. However, when there are many recipients and the pointer is not at the
top or end, I use Ctrl-a to select them, then use DownNaviButton to move it to the end of recipient field, then DownNaviButton again to move to text field. When the pointer is somewhere in long text field, I use Ctrl-UpNaviButton to move pointer to the beginning
of text field, then UpNaviButton again to move to recipient field.
