    Can I create Mandatory Profiles for new Users in Windows 10 Home


    Hey,

    I am an IT Technician/Teacher of a small school, and we are upgrading our systems to Windows 10 this summer but I have done some research and the best way for user profiles is to have one mandatory profile setup and everyone just uses the same one. I am using Win 10 Home. We have around 40 users on the network so far. I am looking to do this so we can easily standardize accounts and account settings.

    Windows 10 Mandatory Profile Configuration

    Hello,

    I'm trying to configure Mandatory Profiles in a Windows 10 Environment.

    I'm following this article:

    Create mandatory user profiles (Windows 10)

    Everything works correctly if I specify the mandatory path in the properties of the user account in Active Directory Users and Computers.

    I have the share

    \\server\share\manny.v6

    and the profile specified in the user properties as

    \\server\share\manny

    If I try to configure this in Group Policy it does not work. I tried under Computer Config | System | User Profiles.

    Can you still configure the Mandatory Profile path through Group Policy?

    Windows 10 version 1607 - Windows Server 2012 Mandatory Profile Not working

    Hi,

    I wanted to know if anyone was successful in getting Windows 10 Mandatory Profile to work with the new anniversary update on Windows Server 2012 AD Environment.

    I've tried these instructions posted by Microsoft directly on how to create a mandatory profile:

    Create mandatory user profiles (Windows 10)

    I'm completed all the steps and now when I log on to a working with Windows 10 version 1607 installed and Windows AD domain joined. I get the following error message:

    "We can't sign into your account"

    "This problem can often be fixed by signing out of your account and then signing back in. If you don't sign out now, any files you create or changes you make will be lost.

    It would be great if someone can provide more information in getting this to work or if there is some sort of workaround.
