Can i please delete Disk 0 partition 2 which contains HealthySystem, Active, primary partition ? I want to turn on bitlocker for Drive C but got an error saying i should convert the drive to NTFS. The drive is NTFS but it seems there's a FAT32 in it somewhere so i wanted to delete or reformat that particular drive to NTFS but i am afraid since it says its a system and an active partition. Will formatting it cause any failures or errors?

    :)

  2. Need to delete an old healthy Recovery partition.

    Press Windows key + X

    Click Disk Management

    Select the Recovery Partition

    Right click it, click 'Format'

You will receive a Warning dialog, click OK to continue.

The next step is to select your file system option, in this case, go with the default which is NTFS.

The formatting process will now begin.

Once complete, the drive will be displayed as a ‘Logical Drive’ in Disk Management.

Right click the ‘Logical Drive’ in Disk Management, on the contextual menu, click the ‘Delete Volume’ option. Click ‘Yes’ when the warning dialog appears.

The Volume you deleted will now appear as ‘Free space’, you will also notice that the disk icon no longer appears in the list of volumes.

Right click the Free space partition, and click Delete, click Yes on the Disk Management warning that appears.

The volume will now appear as Unallocated. Our next step is to merge back that unallocated free space with the system partition. Right click the System volume (usually the C:\ drive where Windows is installed) then click the ‘Extend Volume’ option on the contextual
menu, click ‘Yes’ when the warning appears.

A wizard will now begin that will guide through the steps to merge back the unallocated space with your system partition.

The wizard provides a simple procedure to merge back the unallocated space with the system drive. Once you have selected the space, click Next, at the end of the wizard, you will see the amount allocated.

    W7 Hard drive partition issue

to get rid of that 100 meg windows partition that setup creates for you on a new install on a blank hdd:

    - press shift+f10 when on the partition management screen in setup <-- this opens a command prompt
    - diskpart <-- start the windows command line partition management tool
    - list disk <--- list the installed hdds in this computer for the next step
    - select disk 0 <- might have to replace 0 with the number of the correct disk
    - clean <-- this will erase all data on the disk you selected one step up- dont use the wrong disk!
    - create partition primary <- creates a primary partition taking up all space on the drive, adjust the command if necessary
    - exit, exit to exit diskpart and the command prompt
    - click refresh in partition manager and select your newly created partition and install to that

  4. CAN I DELETE HEALTHY, SYSTEM, PRIMARY PARTITION SPACE IN DISK MANAGEMENT WIHTOUT CAUSING...

Unknow drive and recovery drive located on my PC

    Hi Cameron,

As per the added information, I suggest that you delete the partition listed below:

    1. 99MB Healthy Partition.

    2. 450MB Healthy Recovery Partition (This is the system recovery drive that might have been created during Windows 10 installation)

To delete the said partitions, you can follow the steps outlined below:

    1. Right click on Start Menu to open Disk Management.

    2. Here right click on the respective partition and select Delete Volume.

If you delete a primary partition, the resulting empty space is called unallocated disk space . If you delete a logical drive within an extended partition, the resulting empty space is called
    free space.

    Hope this helps

    Regards
