  2. Files waiting to be burned on disk error

    Hello,

As you want to remove the notification for "Files waiting to be burned", I suggest you to follow the steps provided below and check if it helps.

    • Open This PC.
    • Navigate to the location: C:\Users\(Username)\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Burn\Temporary Burn Folder
    • Delete the files preset in the above location and check for status.

Note: This will delete the files which have been selected to burn on CD/DVD.

Hope this helps. Keep us posted on the status for further assistance.

C windows installer folder - Delete?

He can do symbolic link redirection and move the files in it to a different location. *Wink Can I delete NPOSbak files ? It's located in Local disk C and it's size is 1.80Gb ;)
Better try it out in a virtual of first. Just a suggestion.

    Like:
First move everything in c:\windows\installer to d:\installercache
    Then delete c:\windows\installer folder
Then type this in command mode as admin
    mklink /d c:\windows\installer d:\installercache

Removing those installer files is a bad idea. it might prevent you from updating or uninstalling apps.

Prompt to delete Local Disk on login

I've occasionally received a UAC prompt to delete the Local Disk.

-> The prompt actually refers to deleting a folder rather than the local disk (which is probably just as well . . .)Even though your malware search was negative, I still suspect
malware. Maybe this method will unearth something. While the UAC prompt is visible on the screen, please do this:

    1. Mark the code line below, then press Ctrl+C to copy it.
    2. Press the Windows key + R, then Ctrl+V to paste the code line.
    3. Press Enter.
    4. Open the desktop file Tasks.txt.
    5. Copy & paste its contents into your reply.

    cmd /c tasklist > "%UserProfile%\Desktop\Tasks.txt" & pause
