Windows 10: Can I directly Upgrade from Windows 10 1709 to 1809 ?

Hello Sir,

I have a Dell Inspiron 15 3567 laptop.It came with preinstalled Windows 10 Version 1709.I also got Office 2016 preinstalled with this laptop.Now, There are many Updates like, Feature Update to Windows 1803,2019-02 update for Windows 10 Version 1709 etc. are pending in Windows Update.I searched the Internet about my laptop's compatibility of Windows 10 Latest Version 1809.And I found that my laptop is compatible with the Version 1809.But I don't know how to directly update to Windows 10 Version 1809 without updating to Version 1803.Please tell me the procedure for updating directly to Windows 10 version 1809.


And also tell me that whether I can use my Windows 10 version 1709 Product Key for the Version 1809 or not ??

Thank you for trying to help , i did tried your suggestion but it did not work :/ , nothing seems to make it work on Windows 10 Fall Creators Update 1709. In the meantime i have bought a new SoundBlasterX AE-5 and it did installed flawlessly , no problems whatsoever. it is up to Creative ( drivers ) and Microsoft ( bug fix ) to fix this huge bugs with Audio.

Windows 10 upgrade problem, no input accepted

I really hate having to come here and ask for help, but I really am stumped. It hurts my geek pride. I have a PC with fairly modern hardware in it. It has a p8p67 pro in it. I have tried upgrading windows 10 on it twice now. Both times I have had the same result.

After windows finishes upgrading it goes to the log in/set up screen. I can't do anything. No keyboard or mouse input is accepted.

I will list some, or hopefully all, of the troubleshooting steps I have tried:

• Move keyboard and mouse to different USB ports.
• Try different keyboard or mouse.
• Restart computer, repeatedly.
• Google for related issues.
• Update Bios, because why not.
• Create boot media and revert to windows 7.

The windows 10 system restore boot media works fine with keyboard and mouse. All USB ports work in windows 7. I don't know what is wrong. I suspect that windows 10 is lacking a driver of some sort, but since the computer accepts no input I have no way of checking for which driver let alone installing it.

Please help me figure this out. If I have to revert back to windows 7 again, I am not going to get it upgraded to windows 10. Thank you in advanced.

can we update Windows 10 ver.1709 to ver.1809 directly using "Windows 10 Update Assistant"???
