Windows 10: Can I disable Antimalware service executable from running on startup?

I know this is windows defender so I don't want to disable it completely, but it always the first thing to run and it makes my cpu go to 100%. So can I block it from starting up but still being able to use it?

Hey Antonio,

This "Antimalware Service Executable" service is more complicated than others as it is an high privilege process.

First of all it isn't displayed in startup and whenever I try to stop it using task manager it says : "The operation could not be completed - Access is denied" even when task manager is launched with administrative privileges.

I tried various methods like

1.Turning off real-time protection (It turns on automatically at next startup)

2.Changing task-scheduler settings but it didn't worked.

Please suggest another method.

To disable executable or services that runs during windows startup, please follow the instructions below:

1. in Run command, type msconfig

2. System Configuration window appears,

- Go to Services tab, if you want to disable a service

- Go to Startup tab, if you want to disable an executable.

3. You need to uncheck that specific service/executable or click the Disable button.

Antimalware Service Executable Runs at Startup

The issue is Antimalware Service Executable starts automatically at startup and makes my system unresponsive for long time. I know that "Windows Defender" scans files in background to provide us real-time protection but I haven't downloaded
or stored even a single new file. I use only legit softwares and games. I have recently clean installed windows since then I haven't downloaded a suspicious file.

So how can I disable this specially at startup? I know it is not safe but I am taking necessary precautions so I never need it.
