Windows 10: Can I downgrade to windows 7 using my windows 10 product key

I really dislike windows 10 and i was wondering if i could go to the download windows 7 disc image website and put my windows 10 product key to download windows 7.

Nope, you need to install Windows 10 first and make sure the Windows 7 key is transferred to your Windows account after you've installed Windows 10 (not quite sure how that works). I missed the last step and I could not activate Windows 10 after a re-install... Microsoft seem to have done everything they can to make it a PITA. Also, it's technically too late to do this now anyhow, as the upgrade offer has expired. But KMSPico works quite well...

As for getting rid of Windows, delete the Windows folder.

 

Product Key not valid for downgrade

The problem is Microsoft never handled it.

Downgrade rights is handled by Lenovo, etc.

Downgrade Windows 10 OEM to Windows 7 Professional - Product Key

Thanks for your response. This is really the answer that I was looking for, at first I just couldn't understand why it was called a downgrade when there's a need to have another license, but your answer clarified it.

If your OEM has not injected your product key into the BIOS on your PC, follow these steps:

These statements defeat the purpose of downgrade rights. The workaround in this situation is to use an existing Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 Product Key to initiate the activation.
The tricky part of this is, it can be a product key that is already in use but corresponds with the edition. The burden is on you the user to find such a product key.

For the edition, customer is using a Windows 10 Pro OEM which gives downgrade rights to Windows 7 Professional. However, I don't think that I can download the image using the link
below as it needs a retail license (25 characters). I only have the 20 characters OEM product ID. Can you suggest where can I possibly download the Windows 7 Pro installer?
