    Can I erase old data from pagefile.sys and swapfile.sys?


    Hello! To my understanding, old data stays in pagefile and in swapfile on windows, but this is compromising my security and privacy so I would like to have that data deleted so I can overwrite it. How can I do that?Any source I find say that the old data stays on these two files, but please correct me if pagefile and swapfile do eventually flush out old data.I don’t have the option to wipe the entire drive as this is a work PC from the company I work at and technically not fully mine.

    hi my pagefile sys went up suddenly to 11 gb while was playing game and after like end match in game it went back to normal how it was before it maked first time i think is it normal

    Is it time to ditch the swapfile


    This may be because swapfile.sys does not exist in Windows 7. It was introduced (or reintroduced) in Windows 8.
