    Can I get a virus/malware on a brand new computer from allowing Windows to restore my files...


    I just purchased a new Lenovo yoga, after entering my Microsoft info while setting up the computer it asked me if I wish to restore my OneDrive files, settings and preferences, and apps from my old laptop. It would be convenient to have easy access to those files since that computer was actually stolen from me, but I have reason to believe that the old laptop it wants to restore from may have malware or a virus on it somewhere.Is it safe to allow windows to do this system restore to the new computer? Or is it there potential of spreading the virus/malware of it exists?

    So i caught a malware virus on my brand new lenovo think pad running windows 10. I am having trouble fully removing this virus. I've used Malwarebytes, ccleaner, hitmanpro, zemana, rkill, but there still is problem!!! Has anyone had this issue? I used
    these multiple anti virus softwares to help remove the bug, but there has been changes made to my computer that I am not sure how to undo. Also even after going through all that the computer is still acting strange. Google chrome now crashes constantly even
    after uninstall and re downloading. I also get a message "There’s a problem with Photos. Contact your system administrator about repairing or reinstalling it." And "an app caused a problem for the default app settings for .jpeg files / .png files." Now I
    cant open any of my photos and cant even open the photo app. Im very discouraged at this point considering this computer was brand new and I was hoping that Windows 10 wouldn't be so quick to catch such malware. Windows Defender Security Center does not recognize
    any problems when I perform a scan and believe that these files are hiding in the exlcusion list. I am not sure which to delete. And don't want to lose my data. Any ideas? please help
