Windows 10: Can I get some help with Windows 10 not recognising Apple USB devices please?

iTunes has stopped recognising USB connected Apple devices.iTunes 12.12.7.1 on my Windows 10 version 22H2 build 19045.2364 laptop has stopped recognising Apple USB connected devices. I have tried my iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 8 and iPad Mini 6. Different cables, including brand new ones. Working through various FAQ and online help, it seems I need to update the usb driver using the Apple ‘usbaapl64.inf’ driver file. I have repeatedly used the 'Have Disk' method to update the driver at the Device Manager connection point, but is comes back with the message to the effect that: ‘The file does

Windows phone 10, Windows 10, USB device not recognised

Yes I have this problem also, started only recently, made no changes or alterations to phone or PC. Using Win 10 on Microsoft 640 phone, when you plug into USB says "the last item you connected was not recognised" in the devices & printers it says "Unknown
USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)", have tried soft reset on phone and troubleshooter and restarted and no joy..!!

 

USB Devices not recognised.

I have two devices that regularly are not properly recognized by Windows 10 one is a Garmin GPS and the other is a DJI Phantom Drone. In the case of the Garmin the USB Drives are recognised by Windows (Confirmed using USBDEVIEW) but the software does
not recognise the device and continues to search for it.

In the DJI case it seems to recognise the device but the software cannot access the Drone information i.e. Version Numbers etc. It also often reports errors on the SD Card inserted into the Drone but no errors are reported if the SD Card is inserted into
a card reader.

Any suggestions that I can try would be appreciated.

In addition, we suggest that you turn off the notifications from the USB by following these steps:

• Open Settings by typing "settings" in Cortana's search box.
• Click on Devices.
• Locate USB and toggle the switch to Off.
