Windows 10: Can I get Windows10 OS - Windows Media Player - to use ASIO4ALL ?

Thanks. I actaully do have v2.14. Its sits in my tray and appears in my tray when my music software invokes. Its not in my tray up until that point.

 

I am running some music software and ASIO4ALL which talks to my soundcard.
The maufacturers of the soundcard dont have any drivers, they just say "use ASIO4ALL".
It works fine.

However, if I want to switch between my music application and (for example) WIndows 10 media player, I have to open manually the ASIO4ALL system tray app and manually switch off my soundcard and switch on the Windows stuff.

Is there any way I can convince Win10 apps to use ASIO4ALL without all this manual switching?

How to locate and open Windows Media Player in Windows 10

My version of Windows is Windows10 Home Insider Preview Build 17025.rs_prereease.171020-1626.

I cannot locate Medial Player 10 and I cannot download attempt reports this is not available for your OS.

Is there anyway I can get media player to work??

Which ASIO4ALL version do you have? I can play in WMP via v2.14 just fine.

Never mind...you have a really old ASIO4ALL version if it still uses the tray. Update the software and all should be fine.
