Windows 10: Can I have a physical US Keyboard and Chinese On Screen Keyboard at the same time ?

Hi,


I've been searching and searching for a clear answer to this question - and can't find one.

The solutions posted on line only show a few keys in Chinese for the OSK - which do nothing yet the physical keyboard types characters.


As I cannot touch type in Chinese I am looking for a way to:

Keep me region set to Australia

Keep my Windows language set to Australia

Keep my calendar etc as it is.


But be able to input Chinese characters using an on screen keyboard.


How do I do it???

The On-Screen Keyboard is an application which provides a visual keyboard on your screen that can be used in place of a physical keyboard. To better assist you and provide you with the appropriate troubleshooting steps, kindly answer the questions below:

• Is your physical keyboard not functioning?
• Have you tried turning off the On-Screen Keyboard?

To turn off the On-Screen Keyboard, kindly follow the steps below:

• Click on Start.
• Go to Settings.
• Select Ease of Access.
• On the left panel, click on Keyboard.
• Under On-Screen Keyboard, make sure it is set to Off.

Chinese comma bottom on screen Keyboard doesn't work

2. Are you able to use the Chinese Comma from your physical keyboard?
3. Are you facing this issue only while using Chinese Comma?
4. Which keyboard layout have you added?

On-Screen Keyboard for Traditional Chinese input missing after upgrading to Windows 10

• Have you installed any language pack for onscreen keyboard?

I suggest you to follow the below steps how to add the Chinese keyboard and check if it helps.

• Press “Windows+x” and go to control panel.
• Click on “language”.
• Click on “add a language” and select the Chinese language.
• Then click on add at the bottom and check whether you get the
  keyboard or not.
