Windows 10: Can I have seperate OneDrive accounts for different users on one PC?

We have a family PC running Windows 11 Home. I would like to be able to have a user account for my wife logged into her personal OneDrive account and then a separate user account for myself logged into my OneDrive account. Is this possible?

Different user accounts with OneDrive

I am using Windows 10 with Onedrive and I am totally confused about my user / computer accounts.

I have an Access database that references files on my primary machine at:
C:\Users\David\OneDrive\Documents\My Files..

On a secondary machine on a different network the files are located at:

C:\Users\Dave\OneDrive\Documents\My Files..

I can see all my files on both machines, but the path reference is different based on the user and it causes problems with hard coded file references.

What is the best way to fix this issue? Create a new account David on the secondary machine? How do I do that? Can I migrate the existing Dave account or do I have to create a new account?

Also when I look at my accounts under settings, I have two accounts: a Microsoft account and a work or school account. What is the difference? Do I need both?

 

1 PC, 2 PC Users, Each with Own Onedrive Accounts

Let me more clear:

User 1, has a Onedrive.com account - *** Email address is removed for privacy ***, has a PC account, logging on with *** Email address is removed for privacy *** using the same password.

User 2, has a Onedrive.com account - *** Email address is removed for privacy ***, has a PC account, logging on with *** Email address is removed for privacy *** using the same password.

The Onedrive.com are confirmed to be seperate and unique.

Either user logs on to PC, both see the same local Onedrive folder system. Even if each user logs onto their own Onedrive.com account, the local Onedrive is always user 1 which happens to be the first user put on the PC.

Thanks Dave but neither of these steps work.

I finally reinstalled windows on this computer but the old user account "Dave" is still there when I execute "wmic useraccount get name, SID".

The default user (administrator) created after the new install is named as the first 5 digits of my phone number. Same with it's user folder. I need a user folder named "David" but I can't create one because it tells me that account already exists.

All I want to do is have the same account (with the same user account folder and Microsoft account) on two different computers.

Can anyone tell me how to do this?
