Windows 10: Can I install Software on an other partition

Hi I have a 32 Gb SSD installed on my laptop and another 500 Gb HDD too. Now my Windows in installed on SSD and it is almost full now because of low space of installed software and is slowing my Laptop, Can I install these software on another partition of HDD?

W7 Hard drive partition issue

to get rid of that 100 meg windows partition that setup creates for you on a new install on a blank hdd:

- press shift+f10 when on the partition management screen in setup <-- this opens a command prompt
- diskpart <-- start the windows command line partition management tool
- list disk <--- list the installed hdds in this computer for the next step
- select disk 0 <- might have to replace 0 with the number of the correct disk
- clean <-- this will erase all data on the disk you selected one step up- dont use the wrong disk!
- create partition primary <- creates a primary partition taking up all space on the drive, adjust the command if necessary
- exit, exit to exit diskpart and the command prompt
- click refresh in partition manager and select your newly created partition and install to that

 

Partition software for Vista

Well i'm looking for some software that will work along with Vista that can help me shrink the size of my D drive so I can setup a new partition to install XP and setup a dual boot on. For some reason, the one in vista locks up when its trying to resize the drive. I know partition magic dosen't work for vista. I think there may be too many files on my D drive and it takes to long or there is too many files and it cant shrink the drive in to a smaller size. But I guess I can give some software a try besides what is built into Vista.. So on that note, does anyone have any suggestions?

 

Vista Beta 2 Installed

Well first I defragged the drive, then go into partition magic and select "create a new partition" and make sure it is "after c:"

Then click the rest of the way through the menus, and in the lower left there is a list of pending activites and click "apply" and you will have to restart and before windows boots partition magic does its thing.
