Windows 10: Can I legally copy ScanDisk text mode UI?

I am making filesystem checker for my own filesystem. And I also like old software like MS-DOS. So I get idea of making filesystem checker that will looks like ScanDisk. But there are two limitations. Copyright on ScanDisk and second is that, the current state of project without filesystem checker is on Github with AGPL-3.0 license.Also I am sorry for wrong selection of Product, Version and Topic. There wasn't option for MS-DOS.

How to use Scandisk on Windows 10?

Hi,

I suggest you to follow the steps below to run Scandisk.

• Press Windows key + E on your keyboard to open File Explorer.
• In the File Explorer window, click on This PC in the left navigation pane.
• A list of drives is displayed on the right side of the window. Right-click on the drive you want to run Scandisk on and select
  Properties.
• In the Properties window, click on the Tools tab.
• Click the Check button in the Error Checking section.
• The computer needs to restart to run Scandisk without any interruptions.

Copying DVD to HDD. Legal?

Copy to a HDD or other device you own is legal. You can create 1 copy for personal use such as watching on HTPC, digital library, iPad, etc. as long as you own the original physical disk. Some companies now provide a couple code or disk with Blu-ray movies that is a simple way to get a digital copy of the movie for you (in DVD quality).

*If you own a physical copy of the disc*
*Copy for your use, legal.
*2 copies for your use, not legal.
*Copy to let others borrow, not legal.
*Copy to sell, obvious.

At least that is how I remember it.

I suggest you to install NX10 in compatibility mode and check if it helps. Compatibility mode runs the program using settings from a previous version of Windows. Follow these steps to install the drivers in compatibility mode and check if that helps.

  Right-click on the setup file and click on ‘Properties’.
  
• 
  Click on the ‘Compatibility’ tab and check the box ‘Run this program in compatibility mode for’ and select Windows 8/8.1 operating system from the drop down menu and proceed with the installation. Once
  this is done, restart the computer and check if the issue persists.
