Windows 10: Can i leverage oa3 to store my non oem product key and activate if I need to reinstall with it.

I recently bought a NUC with no OS. So I bought a Win11 pro licence which came with an activation key which I used and it is working. I am wondering If I can use the feature of the NUC that allows or setup and use of a windows OEM product key to activate windows for the purpose of activation of my non-OEM version of windows? To be clear, my windows is installed and activated, I wanted to know if OA3 could be used to make coplete reinstall easier to manage by having the key stored in the BIOS, and automatically seem by the windows installer? No big deal if I can't, but it would be handy.FY

I have a window 10 os oem version. I want to do a fresh reinstall on my computer. Can I use the same activation key ( i used in the first place to get my pc up and running) if it has been used before.

Note: I will use the same cd and the key

Right - especially if a newer board.

That said, if doing a re-install on a totally different motherboard, OEM licenses are not "legally" transferable.

 

Reinstall Windows 10 with OEM product key

When you upgraded from a previous version of Windows or receive a new computer preinstalled with Windows 10, what happened is the hardware (your PC) will get a digital entitlement, where a unique signature of the computer will be stored on Microsoft
Activation Servers. The Windows 7 or Windows 8 genuine license you were previously running will be exchanged for a diagnostics key.

Anytime you need to reinstall Windows 10 on that machine, just proceed to reinstall Windows 10. It will automatically reactivate.
You will prompted to enter a product key a couple times through the installation, click I don't have a key and Do this later.

There is no need to know or get a new key, but if you have issues with Digital Licensing or the Activation Troubleshooter, you can utilize an existing Windows 7 or Windows 8/8.1 product key
you already ownto reactivate if necessary. or use the reset function in Windows 10.
