Windows 10: Can I Make Win10 Explorer Icons Even Larger than Extra Large?

I have lots of security camera footage which displays in Explorer as very many icons for very many small 10-30 seconds often videos. Which I have to search through.


The best tool I can find for this job is right there on Win10 with file explorer. Better than any of my camera recorder/viewer softwares.


So it's good. But if I could get the icons a bit bigger than the current maximum: extra large - it'd be totally wonderful.


I'm hoping perhaps there's a registry fix or something?

Hi,

The icons might be set to appear in medium or small icons. For you to get extra large icons, follow these steps:

• Open File Explorer.
• Right-click in an empty space and navigate to View > Extra large icons.

Explorer does not show images with large / extra large icons

Here's a problem that appears to have been going on since 2010 but with no solutions yet. When I choose Large Icons or Extra Large Icons in File Explorer, all I get are the basic "mountain" icon, not a preview of the image itself. I ran sfc /scannow as
suggested in one post and it didn't help. Since it's been happening since 2010 for others, I can't really blame MS as using another trick to force me to use Win10. Win7 is quite adequate (and safe). Suggestions?
