Windows 10: Can I mix ram brands?

I bought SP1 DDR3 RAM 8gb. I have in my PC Kingston DDR3 4 GB. Can I mix the brands and Gigabytes?

Hi,

there is no best brand, several brans are practically equal. Personally I prefer Kingston Value RAM.

Mixing two brands with identical parameters (not only size) is not a problem.

Mixing memory with different parameters (even of same brand) may cause some problems.

Check motherboard compatibility list before buying RAM.

 

add ram, ok to mix brands?

i am thinking of going from 2 x 2gb ddr3 1600 ram to 4 x 2gb ddr3 1600.
would there be a problem in mixing brands of ram, as long as i the new ram is cas 9 and 1.65 volts? i can get the same brand of ram that i have now
[corsair CMX4GX3M2A1600C9] but i can get patriot or kingston hyperx ram for $5-$15 cheaper. would mixing brands be a problem?

 

Can I mix RAM brands

I dont want to start "this ram brand is better than the other", so im gonna call the two brands A & B

My PC has 2GB DDR2 RAM with 2.1Volts, 800Mhz - PC2 6400 240 pins. From brand A
but since i can no longer buy that brand and i need 4GB, can i buy RAM from brand B
that has the EXACT same specifications.

i.e. I want to mix 2 RAM brands, not speeds

Brand A: 1GB x2 DDR2 2.1V 800Mhz 240Pins
Brand B: 1GB x2 DDR2 2.0V 800Mhz 240Pins

Can I use this ram in my PC?
