Windows 10: Can I Move Multiple Subfolders into Multiple Folders, But Evenly Distribute Them?

Hello, I have a folder on my D drive named TRANSFER. It will hold between 1 and 17 subfolders at any given time. No more than 17.I have 17 folders on my C drive, named, of course, 1 through 17. I want to move the subfolders in the D:\TRANSFER folder to the 17 folders on the C drive.But I want them evenly distributed. In other words, I don’t want three subfolders moved to C:\1, then five subfolders moved to C:\2, etc. It does NOT matter which folders on the C drive the subfolders go into. Creating the same subfolder in multiple folders and moving the contents into that subfolder

Hi

I don't know how to explain this clearly but I have many project folders let's name them A, B, C, .....etc.

Inside each of them are multiple files and subfolders.

I want to make a subfolder named "Design" into each project file and move all the contents of the project folder into the Design subfolder.

Is there a way I can do this?

[Using Search] If you need to do this using GUI, do a search for all files (*.*) from the from the parent folder (and search all sub directories). From the search results, select all files, right-click and choose "Cut". Open the destination folder where
you want to move all files to, right-click and choose Paste. But files that aren't indexed wouldn't be listed/copied... that's one thing
you need to watch out for.

 

Inserting multiple subfolders simultaneously into multiple folders

Your suggestion has two slight drawbacks:

• It will not create any new years (2016 . . 2020)
• It will create fully populated folders instead of just empty structures.
