I need to move my documents folder to another drive but when I move it, it "copies" to the original drive. I am extremely frustrated by this since I don't have a lot of storage in my C: drive. Is there anyway I can not have this happen? If there is a way how do I stop this. I am on windows 11 and version 21H2. Thank you for taking the valuable time out of your day to read and potentially help me. If others are having this problem I hope there answer can be solved too.

    :)

    Java.nio.file - Copying files

You can't copy a folder, thats why it generates an exception (you are trying to copy a folder using a copy file function).
You probably need to list all the files inside that folder and copy one by one

  4. Can I move my documents folder to another drive and not have the files copy to the original...

One Drive files are not in syunc with same file in document folder

I recently copied some specific files from document folder to one drive. Under settings for one drive I selected 'account' then clicked on 'choose files' and in pop up window clicked on 'files not in folders' and then clicked on 'ok'.

I updated a file in document folder but it did not sync up with the copy in one drive folder.

    Have I missed a step?
