Windows 10: Can I only share files over network via same connection type. For example one p.c 1 is on...

I'm trying to share files over a network. I'm curious do both connection types on each o.c have to be the same?For example p.c 1 is connected to the network via WiFi.P.c 2 is connected to the network via Ethernet.It doesn't seem to be working on p.c 1 as I can only see p.c 1 on the network.While p.c 2 is showing both p.cs on the network

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

• Press Windows + R, type fsmgmt.msc.
• Select Shares and right click on C$.
• Select Stop Sharing.

Connecting computer with no internet connection to network printer

1. Open Admin command and type: ipconfig
   
   
   
2. Win+X->Control Panel->Netwok and Sharing Center
   Follow the screen shot. This should disable internet access from this PC but allows access to local device(s)
   NOTE: Use the IP & Subnet Mask from step 1. Leave Default gateway & DNS Server blank
   
   
   

 

Can I share a network connection from a VM to the host OS?

hmm, i will assumer no responces = no, i cannot share it... lucky me, i finally got it to work in 7 with steps pretty close... Program Files > Pantech is where you will need to point windows to inorder to the card running in 7... though it would be nice to be able to share hardware and network connections from a VM to the host PC...
