if I own Minecraft on ps4 then does that mean I can use that account to play Minecraft on pc because Minecraft ps4 has bedrock edition now

 

How to play minecraft PC with someone on PS4?

I want to play minecraft on the PC (Windows 10) with my son on his PS4. I was going to buy minecraft for Windows 10 in the Microsoft store but it says "Free Trial" then "Redeem Code" and "Not sold separately"?? So I'm not even sure how to purchase it :/

Then I read further down and under Multiplayer, it seems as though in order to play cross-platform, I would need to buy a subscription to something called "Realms"??? Would I really need to buy the game, then pay a monthly subscription fee just to play it
with my son? Surely I must be reading this wrong.

Can someone please help with what I would need to do to accomplish the seemingly simple task of playing on the PC with my son on PS4?
