Windows 10: Can I purchase windows 10/11 license and install it on a VM server on a cloud provider?

The cloud provider we currently use doesn't offer the feature of creating vm servers with Windows OS license. Thus, we have to seperately purchase a license and install manually on a vm server where the cloud provider only offers the selected version of windows images. Can I purchase windows 10/11 license and install it on a VM server on a cloud provider? and we can use RDP to work on it?VM sizing4 vCPU, RAM 16 GBThank in advance

Cannot activate license of Windows Server/VM in Cloud environment

Dear Microsoft team,

I have issue before I have activated license of Microsoft Windows Server and Microsoft SQL Server success fully in local VM Server (vmware Vcenter, Hardware Dell) using license Windows Server 2019 Datacenter but I after I used this license to activate in Server in Cloud environment not successfully. Therefore, could you help to providing to efficiency solution?

Licensing Legacy Windows Products on a VM Server

Hello,

Can someone from Microsoft confirm what licenses would be needed to fit the following use case:

• Need to license legacy as well as current Windows products (XP, 7, 10)
  
• The VMs will only have one user account that gets used, but would be utilized by multiple developers in our org
  
• The VMs would be hosted on a physical server and would be accessed through RDP
  

 

Problem activating Windows 11 after switching VMs

Hi there,

I purchased Windows 11 Home a couple of months ago and installed it on a VirtualBox VM. But VirtualBox was crashing quite a bit so I deactivated Windows 11 using the following commands:

• slmgr /upk
  
• slmgr /cpky
  

(as suggested on Redirecting ) and then installed it on a VMWare VM. Problem is, I can't activate Windows on the new VM even though it was deactivated on the old VM. I tried the recommended Troubleshooting Wizard solutions to no available and I couldn't find a Microsoft email address or support number, so I am posting here. Can anyone suggest how to contact Microsoft about this activation issue?

PS: I have already deleted the old VM so I can't log back onto it.
