  1. Can I re-gain Admin access through the boot BIOS menu?

Hi. I am trying to regain access to my computer that I was locked out of (on the road traveling, dont have any CDs or whatnot). I have tried all the options to reset the password, but no luck. I even (as per a guide I found) attempted to go into "Automatic Repair" and reset things there, but no dice either - it does not let me access that menu at all...without my password.

However, during my multiple times powering up/down, I came across I menu I had not seen before, the boot "BIOS". It looks like this to me: https://imgur.com/a/iZ7f8ck . I am a complete novice here, but I see a lot of things saying "Secuity", "Admin', "Password", etc. Is there any way I can use the option in this menu to regain access to (or if necessary, completely reset) the main computer admin/controller?

    Thanks.

  2. Windows stuck in automatic repair; Can't access BIOS/ boot menu

I've changed the boot order through both BIOS and the boot manager, as my original post stated. Neither did anything, but both were functional in the past. Neither listed the windows boot manager, either. Previously, it would boot just as expected whenever
other media was set as the first option, so I'm pretty sure there are no issues there.

As my original post suggested, I've already tried out the steps you gave. I've gone through all the options listed in the boot menu, UEFI or not.

My BIOS and boot menu settings were at their defaults when all of this started, so that's been tried already, if those are what you're referring to.

Cannot access Bios or Boot Menu during startup

Kari's suggestion always works to get into bios, or you could start tapping the one time boot menu key as soon as you hear the post beep. I don't know of a utility to access the one time boot menu.

  4. Can I re-gain Admin access through the boot BIOS menu?

    Accessing BIOS menu

Thanks. I will try both those ideas. As to the first one, I am not sure it will work as from what I see online Windows 10 intentionally may have omitted the logo entry into BIOS due to many PCs having fastboots where users don't
have time to hit the boot key. I don't have fast boot and have lots of time to hit the various F keys before Windows loads. The Windows 10 supposed solution to the logon entry is to reach the BIOS via the Recovery and restart route where the user is supposed
to find a UEFI firmware option which then goes to the boot menu. However, in legacy mode I don't have UEFI firmware and the restart menu won't take me to a workable screen. I do get a PE screen which list options but again, the keyboard will not activate any
of the options listed (namely F1 through F9 and F10). I'll try your two suggestions tomorrow and see what happens.
