Windows 10: Can I record music from new media player to flash drive

I was able to record individual songs from old media player to a flash drive can I still do it in the new media player, if so how?

Did you record music from YouTube using third party software? =I don’t think so, ==Are you trying to play the recorded files in windows media player?==I believe it is playing through WMP

If yes, what is the format of the file type?=I can not find away to determine this.
I have previously reviewed the link you suggested, but can not understand it enough to help me.

flash drive won't play in media player

recorded several cd's on flash drive won't play back on same computer. Did this with 2 diff flash drives on media player. shows the cd's and songs have windows 10
