Windows 10: Can i recover data after installing new windows

Can i recover data after installing new windows since the data was formatted while installing new windows,

so... i would like to know if it is possible or not because i had some really important stuff,

and you might be like we have one drive but my pc was not booting so i could not do anything, but to install new windows and i accidentally formatted everything,so... all i would like to know that is it possible or not, if yes then how?

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
