Windows 10: Can I revert to the Win 10 Photos app that is on all my other PCs?

The new app with the edit button at the top center shuts down the app. I've done the repair, reset, uninstall, reinstall and just finished reinstalling all of Win 10. I will not upgrade my laptop because I use the app to edit pictures. The old app that had "edit create" in the upper right was horrible but I could manage the faults. This new stuff doesn't work at all.

Problem with Win 10 Photos app

One not quite so obvious way. Right-click on any .jpeg and click on Open with > Choose another app. Tick the 'Always use this app....' box then pick your choice from the list.





If it isn't there, scroll down and click 'More apps'....





...and if it's not there either click 'Look for another app on this PC' and browse until you find the .exe for your app.

I suggest you to follow the methods below and check if it helps:

Method 1:

I suggest you to change the Default apps in the setting app and verify the result. You may follow the steps in the below:

• Go to settings and system.
  
• Click on Default Apps and select the appropriately.
  

Method 2:

I suggest you to reinstall Photo app using the PowerShell command
and reinstall using the Windows store. Follow the below steps.

• Open the　Start　menu, type　Windows PowerShell　in the search bar.
  
• Right click on the　Windows　PowerShell　and select　Run as　administrator.
  
• Enter the below command to uninstall the Photo app.
  

• 　　get-appxpackage　　*Microsoft.Windows.Photos* | remove-appxpackage

NO PHOTOS APP IN WIN 10

After reinstalling Win 10, there is no PHOTOS app. Is there a way to recover it, or is it no longer available? If not, can you suggest a safe app for viewing and editing my photos?
