  2. File Explorer in Windows 10 64 bit

I've been playing around with this issue and I can't get the folder pinned to the taskbar either.

You can create a desktop shortcut for the folder.

You can pin the folder to Start.

You can pin the folder to Quick Access.

I tried all three of these, and then tried to pin each of the three results to the taskbar, and it's not an option.

What you can do, is pin the folder to Quick Access, and then from Quick Access, the right click context menu lets you pin the folder to File Explorer's jump list. If, like me, you have File Explorer pinned to your taskbar, then right clicking on File Explorer
will bring up it's jump list, and you will see your folder pinned there...

Best I could come up with. So, instead of one click (if you could have the folder pinned directly to the taskbar), it takes two... Right click on File Explorer, then left click on your pinned folder. Still pretty quick.

One thing I didn't try was pinning a folder to the taskbar if File Explorer is not already there (pinned or currently running). You could try unpinning everything, run file explorer to create a desktop shortcut, then close file explorer and see if "pin to
taskbar" come up in the right click context menu then... I just didn't feel like going through all that trouble, and it probably wouldn't work anyway!

So I'll live with the folder pinned to the jump list.

Might be a nice feature to add in the future though, eh? Submit some feedback and become famous!

    Best Regards

  3. Can't pin any folder to Quick access in file explorer

This fixed Quick Access for me too and I can now pin folders to Quick Access without the "The parameter is incorrect" error. This fix also brought the "Locked" category with the Quick Access folders to the right click menu of the taskbar icon for File Explorer.
Before this fix I had nothing but "File Explorer", "Unpin from taskbar" and "Close window" showing when right clicking on the taskbar icon. I'm currently missing the "Recent files" category and the ability to pin files or folders to the taskbar. When trying
to pin a file to the taskbar it only shows up in the Quick Access folder.
