Windows 10: Can I set Windows mail to send without syncing/receiving IMAP account

Hi,

I try to be strict about when I download email, so that I'm not interrupted by messages when I'm working.

I'm just trying out windows mail and I'd like to be able to send a message without having the software then automatically check for new messages. Does anyone know if this is possible?

I'm using a gmail account via IMAP

E75 cannot send emails

Ive got about 6 email accounts set up, a combination of Gmail and other pop/imap accounts, all set up thru the E75 itself. All the accounts receive mail without any problems, the only problem i have is that I cant send emails from any of the accounts, it
doesn't explicitly say it cannot send or give any errors but the mail that is supposed to be sent just sits in the outbox all day not doing anything, manually syncing (pressing 9 on main screen) only receives new mail instead of sending anything, can anyone
help? thx

 

Error code 80072f30 and Verizon FIOS

Error code 80072f30 when sending work e-mails - I have a pop3 and imap work e-mail set up on my HTC 8x. I can send and receive without any problems
except when I'm in my house. When I'm in my house, I can receive e-mails but I cannot send e-mails (I sync and start getting the error code). A couple of notes: 1) I do not have this issue for my other accounts (a gmail account and a VZW account) and
2) I am a Verizon FIOS User at home. Is anyone aware of a Verizon FIOS conflict?
