Windows 10: Can I somehow disable the buttons of my touchpad?

Hi, my touchpad is kinda broken right now, the buttons don't work. Until I fix it I'd like to disable them, but keep the pad itself working. However I can't seem to find a way to do this without affecting other mice (like an USB one). Is there a way to do this?

I have win10 1903 and an ELAN touchpad with a precision driver

I want to disable touchpad on Dell laptop


These 7 steps allowed me to disable my touchpad (Dell laptop, Windows 10):

1. Win Start button
2. Type in "device manager"
3. Select Device Manager to open it
4. Click down arrow to left of "Mice and other..." to expand
5. Right click Dell Touchpad
6. Disable device
7. Yes
