Can I still install a Wndows 10 ISO over an existing Windows 10 O.S.?

Hi Guys…I need help for these old eyes. I have looked at the Tutorials, but cannot seem to find what I am looking for.
Last year I downloaded and installed a Windows 10 Home ISO onto a HP X360 which came with Windows 10 Home OEM. I kept all my Programs and data
I have looked at my notes and see that I selected "Upgrade this PC now" and then selected "Install Windows 10 Home" and also "Keep personal files and apps". I have been to the link… http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/softw...load/windows10 which is still active. I believe I created a USB drive and installed from that. I see there are 2 options on the webpage. I would like to install the complete windows 10 package again, not the 'update now' option. Can someone please point me in the right direction on how I should proceed…that is; if this option is still available? I should have kept better notes!
    In anticipation. Thank you

    :)

  2. We’re sorry, but you can’t go back. The files we need to take you back were removed

Tried those suggestions thanks but it still won't roll back to Windows 7.

Can I install the ISO over the existing Windows 10 installation to repair it?

Is there a repair option in Windows 10?

If I install the Windows 10 Pro from the ISO how do I activate this? My original Windows 7 was installed by the shop and I don't have the disks.

    thanks

  3. Can I reinstall Windows 10 over an existing Windows 10 and keep my existing programs & data?

It isn't always feasible to create a DVD Install disc.

I looked at some of the instructions online and chose to use the Media Creation Tool to build an install USB drive. But booting to that drive was difficult at best and would not actually being the install at worst if it did boot from the
    flash drive.

So I booted to the Desktop, ran Setup from the USB Install drive.
Followed the prompts and chose to do an install that Kept Everything - files and apps and accounts and settings.

Choosing to run from the Setup was much easier than trying to convince this laptop to boot from the USB drive.

I interpret "I would like to install the complete windows 10 package again, not the 'update now' option." as wanting to do a clean install.

Here's a (maybe too) complete tutorial:

    Clean Install Windows 10

The main thing is that you have to do the clean install from a bootable medium (preferably a USB drive, although you can also use a DVD). You boot from the drive and run the installation from that.

(An upgrade, or an upgrade-in-place, must be done from within Windows. Quite different from a clean install.)

@bobkn - that doesn't achieve the stated aim:
    - unless all personal files were on a different drive/partition, and 'apps' refers exclusively to store apps -which would then need to be downloaded again- and not traditional desktop programs.

Just out of curiosity - did you wish to do a clean install (which blows away everything) or an upgrade-in-place?

    Good Morning bobkn.
I needed to keep all my programs/apps & data. I had done a Reset and still had issues with windows 10. Everything now appears to be functioning correctly

    Ztruder...of course!
Mission accomplished nearly 24 hours ago and have moved on. I have images from B4 & after repair, and windows now has a good, clean bill of health!
