    Can I stop a fresh windows instal half way through?


    I am installing windows on a new desktop and it is asking me to connect to the internet however no wifi networks are popping up yes it is a wifi motherboard. I am just wondering if I powered down and took the pc to my router to get a hardwire internet connection, would that create a problem? I am installing windows off of a USB drive and it is just stuck at the "let's connect you to a network" stage. There is nothing loading or anything.

    windows xp installation and dual core am

    could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

    Xp install fails half way through

    I have a Dell Latitude D620 and im trying to install xp pro. Freshly formatted and it will only get half way through the install, screen goes blank and i have to reset. Does the same with xp home but when windows 98 se is installed it works flawlessly. It came with xp but was wiped clean for a fresh install. What could be causing this problem?
