Windows 10: Can I switch my Minecraft account? If so, how?

A friend recently bought me minecraft as a Christmas present however it was on his email - microsoft one. I was wondering if it is possible to switch microsoft emails to my email so switching minecraft emails.

It looks as if the existing minecraft server will use the new system without modification - It needs to be able to access the computers on the network in a two way link, which is the standard for Workgroup and Homegroup
