Windows 10: Can I transfer emails from hotmail account to outlook e-mail account?

I had a hotmail account which I have been using for years since 1990-1991. Recently Micro soft discontinues Hotmail and all my emails of years having extremely important information and data are now no longer accessible. Can anyone please help me in how to retreive this data and folders in my hotmail account ......Can this Inbox and sent information of Hotmail be somehow be transferred to OUTLOOK e-mail account ........

Outlook 2010 + Hotmail account Bug...

Hi ppl hope ever things good there, i formatted my PC and re-installed my outlook 2010 and i configured every little thing and i just can't send emails using my hotmail account configured in outlook i can only receive does anyone know how can i fix it???

SO today my friend asked me if i could post this question on the forum:



He wants to configure a outlook account with 1 email, with that outlook account he wants to run the same account in 2 diferent computers he wants the both computer to be connected in network, for example:

• he receives a email and that email is sent to each computer;
• he deletes a email from one computer and it also deletes on the other;
• he moves a email to a folder it also moves on the other computer;

If you guys can help me would be nice!

Adding another Hotmail/Outlook account to my Mail App?

Just add them. You can have any number of Outlook Mail Accounts in the Windows 10 Mail App.
Both of my Outlook Email Accounts are setup in the Windows 10 Mail App.

You use the top selection for Outlook, nothing to do with PC user accounts as such. I actually use a Local Account for the PC.

Historically, they were pre 2012 Hotmail Accounts which were transferred and the old Hotmail address appears as a folder(linked account) in the Outlook Accounts. Thus old stray Hotmails are still received.
Back in 2012 MS asked people to change to Outlook Mail as MS were going to close down Hotmail, however they never seemed to actually do that.
